What is brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a powerful method that captures natural self-scanning capacity, using the visual field to activate, locate, and process sources of trauma and distress held in the more intuitive mid-brain. Brainspotting increases healing through working not only with the mind, but with the body as well, allowing a deeper sense of healing.

Current developments in neuroscience reveal that painful or traumatic experiences can get stuck in a timeless state in the non-verbal, non-cognitive subcortical brain, negatively affecting our ability to function in the here and now. In other words, trauma may be living in our bodies without our own conscious awareness. Brainspotting helps us process and release past trauma not only in our thoughts and feelings, but in our body as well.
